Lake Khovsgol, Mongolia

Lake Khovsgol is in northern Mongolia, and is a massive lake, containing about 3% of the entire fresh water in the world. In turn, it is a actually a drain off from Lake Baikal in Siberia. I traveled there in February a couple of years back, it was -40, but stunningly beautiful. The ice just gets so cold it keeps expanding and just fractures into these massive walls.
