St. Paul’s Cathedral, Macao

The cathedral the Portuguese built at Macao was in fact modeled after the Se Cathedral in Goa with the exception of the tower, and dates from 1602. It burnt down though in 1835. Although no doubt built by the then Chinese coolies of the day, the design is period Portuguese colonialism, although since Macao returned to China in 1999, the signage at the site states it was designed by master Chinese craftsman and stonemasons, which is clearly a load of old cobblers.
