Venice Gulls

Venice is just beautiful, and I am always happy to travel there. It’s the immediate juxtaposition of the open sea and bustling city I find so exotic. Its best displayed by simple images, but these seagulls are just off San Marco Square, looking out east, to the mysteries of the Orient that Marco Polo himself must once have wondered about. There’s a certain sense of movement about this photo that I think fits in with the cities trading past.
